Wildlife Trafficking

The trafficking of wildlife and wildlife products is just as prolific as trafficking in arms and narcotics. This project aims to raise awareness of the pervasive nature of wildlife trafficking and to highlight actionable, local solutions through compelling visual storytelling and legal articles.

In the Works

Rhino Horn Trimmings

Local zoos are using resident rhinos to help protect rhinos hundreds of miles away. Shavings from routine rhino horn trimmings have been provided to law enforcement agencies to train canines to detect ivory that is being transported illegally. This program highlights a critical partnership between zoos and law enforcement in a promising effort to enact real change.

Ecotourism & Shark Finning

Baited shark dives spark cotnroversy, but sharks are battling something other species aren't - immense fear that enables harmful practices, like shark finning, that threaten the stability of our oceans. Ecotourism could be the solution by providing an alternative source of income to individuals in communities that rely on shark finning to support themselves.
